The TomTom app is free to download and use, however the app requires mobile data to deliver real-time road information to your phone. Continued use of the application could result in higher levels of data consumption, therefore we highly recommend a mobile data plan.
Multiple variables will impact the data costs incurred, including but not limited to your mobile carrier, duration of application use, traffic at that time & real-time warnings encountered.
To better see the actual data usage of the app, follow the instructions below for your specific operating system.
Android™
For Android, follow these steps (most Android devices):
- Go to Settings.
- Tap Apps.
- Tap Manage apps.
- Scroll down and tap TomTom.
The amount of mobile data used by TomTom in the current period is listed under Data usage.
Samsung One UI
For Samsung One UI, follow these steps:
- Go to Settings.
- Tap Apps.
- Scroll down and tap TomTom.
- Scroll down to Usage > Mobile data.
iOS
For iOS, follow these steps:
- Go to Settings.
- Tap Mobile Service.
- Scroll down to MOBILE DATA and tap Show All.
- Scroll down to TomTom.
